Senior Scientist/Group Leader (m/f/d) Glycobiology

Focus of the position is the synthesis and characterization of carbohydrate structures for immunizations.

Your Tasks And Responsibilities

• (Bio)synthesis of glycopeptides and glycolipids including their purification and characterization
• Preparation of potent vaccines from the prepared glycoconjugates
• Preparation of scientific reports and maintenance of the current state of scientific literature
• Collaboration in project teams working on the development of antibodies towards first in human studies
• Management and monitoring of projects with external parties (e.g., CROs, academic groups)
  
  

Your Profile

• PhD in the field of biological sciences with recent, extensive research laboratory experience
• 2+ years of relevant experience after your PhD in academics or industry
• Extensive knowledge in the field of mammalian carbohydrate biosynthesis
• Hands-on experience with the non-chemical defined synthesis of mammalian glycopeptides and or glycolipids, i.e. recombinantly or in vitro
• Knowledge and experience in the generation of vaccines like VLPs would be an asset
• A high level of communication in English and a work permit for Germany (for non-EU applicants) are mandatory
