The Bioinformatician role involves developing and maintaining bioinformatics workflows, integrating data, and creating databases, data models, and APIs. Acting as a bridge between biologists and computer scientists, the role ensures effective communication and collaboration.

Your responsibilities include:

1. Developing and maintaining bioinformatics workflows using Python and R for research projects
2. Integrating data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and adherence to FAIR principles
3. Facilitating communication between biologists and computer scientists to translate biological concepts into computational models
4. Setting up and improving workflows for drug discovery, focusing on efficiency and accuracy
5. Researching and developing methods to assess and enhance antibody specificity
6. Collaborating with teams like machine learning to incorporate advanced computational techniques
7. Documenting workflows, data models, and APIs comprehensively
8. Providing support and troubleshooting data-related issues
9. Staying updated with advancements in bioinformatics and related fields

Your profile:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or related, with 5+ years of project experience
• Proficiency in Python and R
• Experience with bioinformatics tools and PSQL databases
• Understanding of data models and API development
• Basic machine learning skills, including data prep and decision trees
• Experience in drug discovery and development
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and organize project tasks effectively
