Overview

InterSystems DACH is hiring a Bid Manager with proven capability of delivering winning bids to tight deadlines. The Bid Manager will own the end-to-end bid process for InterSystems healthcare products portfolio HealthShare solutions and IRIS for Health. This role will be based at our Darmstadt office 5 days per week for the first 3 months and then reverting to 3 days per week in the office. This is a senior, experienced and highly networked role that requires the ability to work under pressure and to challenging deadlines.

Location: Darmstadt, Germany (office-based initially).

Responsibilities
  • Identify all formal tender notices relevant to the products and services offered.
  • Manage the bid qualification (bid go/no go) process for new opportunities.
  • Lead virtual bid teams and coordinate inputs from stakeholders across sales, marketing, product, finance, commercial, legal and delivery.
  • Track and manage risk throughout the bid process.
  • Contribute to the written proposal, including content and presentation.
  • Ensure timely delivery of compliant and commercially sound bids.
  • Collaborate effectively with people of different talents and strengths, handle conflict constructively, and treat people at all levels with respect.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Proven capability in delivering winning, high-value bids to tight deadlines, preferably within the Healthcare sector.
  • Background in solutions and services with bid campaign management from opportunity identification through to project delivery; ability to contribute to opportunity qualification, win strategies and commercial discussions.
  • Comfortable working with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of the competitive marketplace and ability to manage complex, multi-workstream opportunities.
  • Solid understanding and implementation of internal governance procedures.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in direction and priorities, remain positive and level-headed under pressure.
  • Skilled at identifying critical factors for decision-making, prioritizing tasks, assessing risks and returns.
  • High standards for thoroughness, completeness and accuracy; ability to balance multiple tasks without missing important details.
  • Hunger for continuous improvement and staff development; open to mentoring and guidance from senior roles.
  • Fluency in English and German is essential.
