Applying for something new can be intimidating, so we want to make it as transparent and easy as possible. Here’s everything you can expect if you apply.

You’ll hear over 45 languages spoken across our 8 main hubs, because we come from all over. But we all share one thing: the mindset to dream.

What to expect

We want to set everyone up for success, so here’s the lowdown on how we hire. Our process is a two-way street – bringing you into our culture, while helping us learn how you think.

Our full process can last about eight weeks from application to offer, because we care about getting it right. These steps explain how we usually do things.

Before you get started, feel free to consider if you want to work with us. Strange question? Well, we give people a lot of space to navigate their day-to-day and that style isn't for everyone. We want you to be passionate about what you do and be sure this is the right fit. Because when skills and passion combine – it creates that 'Wow' moment.

Step One:

It starts with you...

You'll start by submitting your application to a specific role.

We try to keep this step as simple as possible. We do get a lot of applications, but we review them all. We ask that you allow around 14 days for us to come back to you with a response. If you are a good fit to the role, someone will follow up with you within that window. If you didn't receive a reply, or were unsuccessful this time around, we encourage you to look for other possible matches at On.

Getting the most from your interview

We know they can be stressful.

So, we’re committed to a fair, transparent and inclusive hiring process. We’ve included these tips to help you get the most out of your interview with us.

If you need any extra support or consideration at any time, let us know and we’ll do our best to get it sorted.

1. Do a test run.

Headphones. Internet connection. Microphone. Camera. Make sure your tech is working as it should. If you’re having issues that can’t be fixed, let us know at: start@on-running.com.

We’ll do our best to help, or reschedule your interview if we need to. Not a problem.

2. Save the date, don't be late.

We’ve got the date, time and interview link confirmed. On the day, hop on the link a few minutes early to make sure everything’s working.

We’ll let you into the chatroom when we’re all set up, but this way you’ll have time to relax before we start.

3. Get in the zone.

Finding a nice, quiet spot will help you collect your thoughts – and help us hear you better.

If that quiet spot is in your home, feel free to blur your background. We want you to feel as comfortable as possible, so pick the place that suits you best.

4. Be yourself

Everyone is different, and that’s how we like it. We want to see the real you. So, wear what makes you comfortable. Ask the questions you want to know.

Here are the answers to some commonly asked questions at this stage:

Do I need to be a runner to work here?

Nope! While many members of the Oniverse are keen athletes, it’s our shared love of movement in general – the inspiration and energy it brings – that unites us. Whether you're into yoga, dancing til the sun comes up or just going for a walk with a teammate, you’ll fit right in.

Do you offer visa sponsorships?

Yes, in many cases. This will depend on your unique circumstances, the role and your experience, so please discuss this with your recruiter as soon as you can.

I’m having trouble submitting my application – is there someone who can help?

If you’re facing any technical difficulties, please email: start@on-running.com. The On Start email is purely to assist with technical issues when interviewing or applying. We don’t currently accept open applications outside of a specific job posting to this email address. If you don’t see something right for you today, keep checking back. We open new roles all the time.

I have to travel for my interview, do you cover my expenses?

If travel is necessary during your interview process, then we help out with expenses – your recruiter can directly handle this one.

What language should I apply/interview in?

Our global language is English, so all applications should be submitted in English – unless you’re applying for a role where another language is specified for the interview.

If my application wasn't accepted, should I apply again?

We actively encourage you to apply to other roles at On that might be a better fit for you. When re-applying for the same role, we typically suggest waiting around 6 months so you have time to further develop your skills to better match the opportunity.
