Zusammenfassung

Marabu Airlines is seeking an experienced Cabin Crew member to take on the Base Manager Cabin role in Hamburg. This position blends active flight duties with base management and people leadership.

Reporting directly to the Director of Cabin Operations, you will develop crews, manage HR processes, support recruitment, and coordinate with HQ and other bases. The assignment starts for one year with potential extension based on performance.

Qualifikationen

  • Certification: Valid EASA Cabin Crew Attestation.
  • Education: Completed secondary education; stated in CV.
  • Right to work: Germany and EU.
  • Languages: Fluency in English; German language skills welcomed and to be developed.
  • Medical fitness: Valid aeromedical certificate and ability to swim unassisted.
  • Background check: No criminal record.
  • Base accessibility: Ability to reach HAM airport within 60 minutes.
  • Travel: Availability to travel to Tallinn and other Marabu bases as required.

Aufgaben

  • Support and develop Cabin Crew through regular feedback, coaching and performance management, while helping to maintain consistent safety, service and operational standards within the base.
  • Support crew related matters, including employee relations, conflict resolution, relevant HR processes and appropriate documentation.
  • Participate in Cabin Crew recruitment, selection, onboarding and upgrade processes, supporting the successful integration and development of crew members.
  • Work closely with Cabin Operations, other departments, HQ in Tallinn and Base Managers across Marabu to ensure effective communication and consistent implementation of company processes.
  • Support the daily organisation of the HAM base, including crew meetings, local activities, base office responsibilities and coordination of your Base Manager commitments.
  • Continue operating as active Cabin Crew, providing professional passenger service, carrying out all required safety and security duties, supporting the operating crew and contributing to smooth and efficient cabin operations.

Are you an experienced Cabin Crew professional ready to take the next step in your career?

We are looking for a Cabin Crew professional with a minimum of 3 years of flying experience to take on the additional function of Base Manager Cabin in HAM.

Previous experience as a Base Manager or Deputy Base Manager would be highly valued. Experience in a specialist or management level office position on the ground would also be considered a strong advantage.

The Base Manager holds an important role within our organisation and acts as a key point of support for the Cabin Crew based in HAM. We are looking for someone with strong leadership, communication and organisational skills, sound judgement and a practical, people focused approach. You should be confident in supporting and developing others, handling challenging situations, giving constructive feedback and working closely with different teams across the organisation.

The Base Manager role is an additional function alongside your Cabin Crew position and reports directly to the Director of Cabin Operations. The function will initially be assigned for a period of one year, with the possibility of continuation based on a performance review. During the Base Manager assignment, the planned workload is approximately 75% flying duties and 25% office and base management duties.

Alongside your responsibilities in HAM, you will also take ownership of one of the responsibilities below and support its consistent implementation across all Marabu bases:

  • Cabin Crew Performance Monitoring and Development
  • Cabin Operations HR Processes and Crew Management
  • Cabin Crew Recruitment and Onboarding
  • Certification: Valid EASA Cabin Crew Attestation
  • Education: Completed secondary education. This must be clearly stated in your CV
  • Right to work: Right to live and work in Germany and the EU
  • Languages: Fluency in written and spoken English. All levels of German are welcome, with a willingness to further develop your German language skills over time
  • Medical fitness: Valid aeromedical certificate and ability to swim unassisted
  • Background check: No criminal record
  • Base accessibility: Ability to reach HAM airport within 60 minutes at any time
  • Travel: Availability to travel to Tallinn and other Marabu bases as required
