Job summary

The Hoxton, Charlottenburg (Berlin) is looking for a Bartender to join our Food & Beverage team. You’ll shake cocktails, pour drinks and create welcoming experiences for guests in a lively bar, lobby and terrace. Work closely with the Head Bartender to ensure service quality, glassware, stock and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and good German required; additional languages are a plus.
• Experience behind a bar in a buzzy environment is desirable.
• Strong customer service mindset and team spirit.

Responsibilities

• Create a fun, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere behind the bar.
• Prepare and serve drinks including cocktails, coffee, soft drinks and seasonal creations.
• Build genuine connections with guests, making recommendations and sharing knowledge.
• Know the drinks menu and stay curious about trends and techniques.
• Ensure drinks are prepared to quality, presentation and service standards.
• Collaborate with the Food & Beverage team to maintain smooth service across bar, lobby and terrace.
• Keep the bar clean, stocked and organized; monitor stock and minimize waste.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and turn issues into positive experiences.
• Follow all food safety and health & safety procedures.

We are looking for aBartenderto join our team and help create the kind of experiences our guests come back for. Our first Hoxton in Germany is home to 234 bedrooms of varying sizes, a vibrant wintergarden featuring all-day dining, a lively lobby and bar, a streetside terrace, and The Apartment – our unique meetings and events concept. Working closely with our Head Bartender and the wider Food & Beverage team, you'll be the friendly face behind the bar, shaking cocktails, pouring great drinks and making genuine connections with our guests. Whether it's recommending the perfect drink, sharing local tips, or simply creating a welcoming atmosphere, you'll help bring our spaces to life and make every visit feel a little more special.

Job Description

What you'll do...

• Create a fun, relaxed and welcoming atmosphere where guests come to unwind, connect and enjoy themselves.


• Prepare and serve everything from great coffees and soft drinks to classic cocktails and seasonal creations, always with consistency and attention to detail.


• Build genuine connections with our guests, making recommendations, sharing your knowledge and creating memorable experiences that keep them coming back.


• Know our drinks menu, products and systems inside out, and stay curious about new trends, ingredients and techniques.


• Ensure all drinks are prepared and served in line with our quality, presentation and service standards.


• Work closely with the wider Food & Beverage team to keep service running smoothly across the bar, lobby and wintergarden.


• Maintain a clean, organised and fully stocked bar area, ensuring everything is ready for a seamless service.


• Monitor stock levels and minimise waste.


• Handle guest feedback and complaints professionally, always looking for opportunities to turn a situation into a positive experience.


• Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures to ensure a safe environment for guests and team members.


• Be more than a Bartender - jump in where needed, support your teammates and contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture.

Qualifications

What we're looking for...

• Basic knowledge of wine, spirits and preferably beer.


• Previous bartending experience in a buzzy environment.


• A thirst for knowledge;- be it product, service, or everything in between.


• Fluent in English, good German knowledge, additional languages will be highly valuable.


• You are flexible to work on rotative shifts and on weekends.


• Passion for hospitality - you're all about creating memorable experiences for others, be they guests or colleagues.


• A people person, you're confident behind the bar.


• You're looking for a place where you can be you; no clones in suits here.


• You're not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help get stuff done.


• You're up for doing things differently and trying (almost) everything once.
