Jobbeschreibung

Hi!

We are Coffee Circle, Germany’s leading sustainable specialty coffee roastery based in Berlin. We offer the world’s finest coffee and equipment to over 150,000 customers online and in our Cafés, driven by our goal to make high-end coffee experiences enjoyable and accessible to all. We foster direct trade relationships with coffee farmers worldwide, pay high prices for the coffee beans, and ensure everyone involved in the value chain gets treated fairly and respectfully. For every kilogram of coffee we sell, we invest € 1 through our Coffee Circle Foundation e.V. to help support sustainable improvements in coffee-growing areas, such as providing clean drinking water, hygiene training, and coffee labs. With over 4 million euros raised in donations, we cannot wait to increase our positive impact with you on our team, one cup of coffee at a time.

Your role
  • Produce and supervise the production of all the dishes of our snack menu, which include a wide range of our popular classic cakes, cookies, and bars for our five Coffee Circle Cafés in Berlin.
  • Ensure that the snacks produced adhere to our standards in terms of quality and presentation.
  • Manage kitchen operations smoothly by proactively solving organizational challenges.
  • Monitor inventory to meet guest requests while minimizing waste.
  • Comply with local regulations (in terms of cleaning, safety, etc.).
  • Respond to customer feedback and needs to improve our operations and food quality.
  • Support the preparation of staff lunch for the Coffee Circle Café Wedding.
  • Be responsible for the kitchen in the absence of our Kitchen Manager/Sous Chef.
  • Collaborate with our Kitchen Team (5 people) and Baristas to ensure proper service and a smooth customer experience in our Coffee Circle Café Wedding in Lindower Str. 18 13347 Berlin.

Your profile
  • Min. 1-2 years of experience in the kitchen of a good quality restaurant or café, with a strong emphasis on breakfast, brunch, and lunch preparation.
  • Independent work style and ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Reliability and responsibility: punctuality and ability to work without close supervision.
  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Creative and problem-solving mindset: capable of generating new ideas to improve operations and solve daily challenges.
  • Cleanliness and solid knife skills are essential.
  • Availability to work on weekends (our kitchen is open Monday to Sunday).
  • Valid work permit to perform this role in Germany (we do not sponsor working visas).
  • Effective communication skills in English (fluency required) and German (min. B1 level).

Our conditions and offer
  • 30 minimum weekly working hours, with the possibility of covering extra shifts up to 7.5 hours a week, compensated on top of your fixed salary.
  • Working hours within the opening hours of the Coffee Circle Café Wedding.
  • One year contract, with 20 days of holidays per year considering a 4-day work week.
  • Deutschlandticket (public transport) fully paid after your probation period.
  • Discounts on our coffee and equipment and online voucher platforms, like corporate benefits and FutureBens.
  • Possibility of participating in our company pension plan after the probationary period.
  • Access to mental and physical well-being platforms, such as nilohealth and HUMANOO.
  • Check us on Glassdoor. Our coffee is as good as our company culture.
