Zusammenfassung

HALO Bagels in Berlin is seeking a hands-on baker to lead the daily production of sourdough bagels and support a fast-growing, international team.

You will work on shaping, proofing, baking, and cleaning to meet hygiene standards, manage FIFO/FEFO inventory, and grow into additional bakery tasks as the brand expands.

Qualifikationen

• 1+ year baking experience, preferably sourdough or artisan bread production.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, growing environment with good organizational skills.
• Strong team spirit with excellent communication and energy from working with people.
• Passion for food and hospitality and alignment with HALO brand and product quality.
• Flexible hours, including weekdays and weekends; English fluent, German a plus.

Aufgaben

• Support team with food inventory following FIFO/FEFO, including storage control and weekly order planning.
• As HALO grows, responsibilities may expand to other baked goods and pastries to broaden skills.

We are seeking a new team member to join our diverse and international team on our journey to becoming a beloved food brand in Berlin.

Tasks

• You're responsible for the daily production of all our sourdough bagel breads, including hand shaping, proofing, bathing and baking
• You're responsible for maintaining and carrying out cleaning tasks in the BOH, complying with operational hygiene standards as well as legal regulations
• You actively support your team members with food inventory following FIFO/FEFO, including storage control and weekly order planning
• As HALO continues to grow, your role may expand beyond bagel production to include other baked goods and pastry tasks, offering room to broaden your skillset over time

Requirements

• You have +1 year of professional baking experience, ideally with sourdough or artisan bread production and a strong desire to excel in your daily work.
• You’re able to work in a dynamic and growing environment, able to follow process and posses strong organizational skills.
• You’re naturally having a strong team spirit mindset, with excellent communication skills and getting energized by working with people
• You’re personally passionate about food & hospitality and feel fully connected with the HALO brand and the product to deliver top quality everyday
• You’re open to work flexible hours during weekdays and weekends, and have been already exposed to work in fast-paced environments
• You’re fluent in English, German is a plus
