Your Mission

As a Backend Engineer (m/f/d) you will play a vital role in developing Xayn’s privacy-first Legal AI solution helping professionals in the law research and advising domain. You’ll build scalable,high-performance backend services while working closely with AI researchers and engineers to implement cutting-edge features and optimize system performance.

Your Team

The Tech team consists of around 10 individuals who work remotely or at the office in Berlin city center. Besides the development team, Xayn’s technical lead and an external consultant team handle various tasks related to providing Xayn’s development team with the necessary technical environment, ensuring the smooth operation and scalability of Xayn’s AI applications.

Your Hiring Manager

Simon is heading the Tech Team (Development, Infrastructure). With more than 15 years of experience in software development, he is an advocate for product driven development, solving real life problems.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain scalable backend servicesusing Rust, focusing on the core APIs that handle the heavy lifting for Xayn’s Noxtua platform
  • Design, develop, and deploy secure and robust APIswith a focus on scalability, stability, and security for customer-facing services
  • Manage Service and Tenant APIsusing Python, including tenant creation, administration, and rights management for efficient customer operations
  • Integrate AI libraries primarily in Python, implementing features close to LLMs (Large Language Models) and supporting AI-related API development
  • Optimize algorithms and system performanceto ensure speed, scalability, and overall system reliability across the platform
  • Contribute to platform developmentwith a focus on security and stability while designing and deploying new APIs for AI-driven features
  • Collaborate with AI Engineers, DevOps, and Frontend Developersto implement solutions effectively and ensure seamless integration across teams
