We are a remote-first climate tech start-up based in Germany that uses technology to advance the vision of a net-zero economy.

Simplifying calculations of carbon emissions is our aspiration, aiming to enable companies to take data-driven decision-making on lowering their carbon footprint as efficient and swift as possible, granting them transparency and control over their own emission reports.

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you will be collaborating with our engineering team on the development of a software geared towards a national research project called DiCES.

We are developing the model that decides the future of used products in order to balance economical and ecological constraints of the industry. The project is a circular economy milestone, enabling companies to make quick decisions on heavy hardware products.

What you do:
  • Tech stack: NestJS, React, Tailwind, Node.js, TypeScript, AWS, Postgres, Docker, GitHub, GitHub Actions
  • Implement high-quality and well-tested code to brush up the user experience of our SaaS platform
  • Engage in code reviews to nurture a collaborative, feedback-driven, and growth-oriented environment
  • Liaise with stakeholders from engineers to product owners to shape the requirements of our product

Skills and Experience:
  • At least 2+ years experience in TypeScript, Node.js, React, AWS, Postgres, Git (Postgres is a requirement)
  • Experience in a variety of automated testing tools of codebases
  • Proven ability to evaluate the right technical solutions for business problems
  • Familiarity with modern architectural patterns and design systems
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
It is not a match:
  • Based outside of Germany
  • No track record of collaborating in small engineering teams
  • No experience with Postgress
  • No track record of working on Proof-of-Concepts or MVPs
  • Lack of experience in Agile
Optional things that impress us:
  • Experience in Start-ups or Climate Tech
  • Experience with monorepos, microservices, and message queues
  • Experience with calculations and decision-making algorithms
  • Advanced database knowledge exceeding CRUD operations
  • Data-driven and product-first mindset with focus on UI/UX
  • Test-Driven Development mindset
  • Interest in Circular Economy
  • German (Minimum B2)
