Job summary

NeuroNation, based in Berlin, is seeking a Backend Developer with DevOps expertise to build and maintain scalable backend systems powering our Brain Training platform. You will deploy, scale, and secure services within a cross-functional, agile team, contributing to feature development and ensuring performance for millions of users.

We expect 3+ years in backend development, strong PHP 8.x, MySQL, Laravel, MVC, PHPUnit, and experience with Docker/Kubernetes and cloud platforms like Heroku or

• 3+ years of experience as a Backend Developer.
• Solid experience with Docker & Kubernetes (2+ years) and managing deployments.
• Strong backend skills in PHP 8.x and MySQL (including efficient SQL).
• Familiarity with Laravel, and MVC architecture.
• Good testing habits (e.g., PHPUnit) and writing clean, maintainable code.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Heroku, AWS).
• Based in Berlin or willing to relocate.
• Hybrid role: ability to work from our Berlin office at least 3 days per week.
• Bonus: Interest in working with large-scale databases and performance optimization.
