At DIRS21, we are the market leader in online booking and channel management systems for the hotel, hospitality, and tourism industries. Over 5,300 customers—primarily mid-sized, owner-managed hotels in the 3- to 4-star segment—use DIRS21 across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. With 110 team players based in Wernau (Stuttgart / Essen region) and Leipzig, we embody the spirit of Swabian inventors, thinkers, and tinkerers.

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a Backend Developer (m / f / d) C# / .NET to join us in Wernau , either full- or part-time.

Tasks

As a Backend Developer (m / f / d), you will support our development team, particularly in the design, implementation, and documentation of API integrations for the hotel and tourism sector.

Your responsibilities include :

  • Further development and new design of our workflow, database, and interface systems
  • Integrating external interfaces into our software solutions
  • Working with common protocols and data formats such as HTTP / S, XML, SOAP, REST, and JSON
  • Ongoing development of our existing backend systems
  • Ensuring scalability and performance
  • Participating in agile development processes within sprint cycles
  • Using our modern framework based on container technologies

Tech-Stack

  • NodeJS with Fastify or Express

General :

  • Source control using Git on GitHub
  • Docker and Kubernetes

Requirements

Your Profile – Hard Skills

  • A degree in Computer Science / Media Informatics or an excellent IT vocational qualification
  • Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, and SQL
  • Solid understanding of broad technology stacks for data-centric development (e.g. relational and NoSQL databases, data-driven architectures, APIs)
  • Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Ideally, experience with agile project work (SCRUM)
  • Proficient English skills (at least C1 level)
