So what is the role?

Take charge of migrating our cloud infrastructure to a Microsoft Azure-based microservices architecture. In this strategic role, you will design, implement, and manage a reliable and scalable cloud environment that supports the growth and success of our products:

• Cloud Migration: Lead the transition of our cloud services to Azure-based microservices with minimal disruption.
• Infrastructure Design: Build and maintain a scalable, cost-efficient, and reliable cloud architecture.
• Operational Excellence: Set up processes for administration, monitoring, and incident management to ensure high availability and system reliability.
• Tech Stack Transition: Migrate services using Java Spring Boot, SQL/Postgres, and Kubernetes, preserving the existing tech stack unless necessary.
• Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to align cloud strategies with business goals.
• Cost Management: Monitor and optimize cloud costs with tools like Azure Cost Management.

• Complete migration to Azure with minimal service disruption.
• Establish deployment pipelines and monitoring systems for smooth operations.
• Deliver a scalable, reliable infrastructure ready for production-level microservices.

What you need for this role:

• Technical Expertise:
  • Proven experience in backend development and cloud infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud migrations.
  • Familiarity with microservices, Kubernetes, and REST APIs.
• Operational Skills:
  • Experience with tools like Terraform, Azure DevOps, and monitoring solutions (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics).
  • Knowledge of Azure networking and cost optimization.
• Soft Skills: Leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.
