Bachelor Thesis in Design and Implementation of a Data Acquisition System for Performance Testing of External Gear Pumps

Position: Full-time

Responsibilities:

1. Define test requirements for gear pumps (e.g., parameters to measure).
2. Select appropriate sensors and data interfaces.
3. Develop or program a Data Acquisition (DAQ) system using LabVIEW / NI.
4. Validate the system with test runs to ensure accurate and reliable data capture.
5. Document results and provide analysis, possibly identifying ways to optimize testing or product performance.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor studies in a technical or scientific field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or comparable).
• Experience and Knowledge: Basic understanding of fluid dynamics, hydraulics, and mechanical design principles; familiarity with CAD software (e.g., CREO, AutoCAD) and simulation tools is a plus.
• Personality and Working Practice: Ability to analyze complex data with attention to detail, work in a structured manner both independently and collaboratively, and maintain a proactive attitude contributing ideas.
• Languages: Fluent in English, basic knowledge of German.
