A leading company in the transport and logistics sector is seeking an AWS Technical Consultant to support a cloud transformation programme. The role includes designing AWS architectures, managing IAM and policies, and collaborating with international teams. We are supporting a large-scale cloud transformation programme within the transport and logistics sector in Germany. The project focuses on the definition and implementation of secure, scalable AWS cloud environments, including support for cloud migrations and collaboration with international delivery teams.
Role : AWS Technical Consultant
Location : Remote (some travel may be required, see below)
Start Date : ASAP
Duration : Until 31.12.2025 (extensions possible)

Key Tasks / Responsibilities
Design and implement AWS cloud architectures in a complex enterprise environment
Define network architectures including VPCs, Security Groups and NACLs
Configure and manage IAM, Policies, Roles and Service Control Policies (SCPs)
Lead and support cloud migration activities (Lift & Shift, Re-architecting)
Build and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Collaborate effectively with nearshore and offshore delivery teams
Ensure alignment with enterprise security and compliance requirements

Requirements
Must-Have :
Fluent English (required) and fluent German (strongly preferred)
Resident in the EU or UK
Proven experience in designing and implementing AWS architectures
Strong understanding of AWS networking components (VPC, NACLs, etc.)
Deep knowledge of AWS IAM, Policies, Roles, and SCPs
Hands-on experience with cloud migrations
Solid Terraform skills and infrastructure automation know-how
Ability to operate within large-scale enterprise environments
Experience working with nearshore / offshore teams
Travel readiness for possible occasional travel (Germany), expenses paid
Nice-to-Have :
AWS Certifications (e.g. Solutions Architect, DevOps Pro)
Experience with SAP / S4HANA migrations to AWS
Familiarity with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Jira)
Knowledge of CloudFormation, Google Cloud or Azure
