Middlemore has been retained by a long-standing European financial services client to recruit an HR Generalist to join their team in Frankfurt.

This position will sit within a well-established European HR team, providing the opportunity to work closely with COE specialists and benefit from strong mentorship. The line manager is focused on the development of the international HRBP population, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take their career to the next level.

The HRBP provides operational support to the Senior HRBP, offering robust support to line managers in various scenarios.

Responsibilities
  1. Provide general HR support for the line managers as the main contact person for HR in Frankfurt
  2. Advise line managers on the implementation of HR policies and guidelines
  3. Ensure Labour law compliance and understand the implications of decisions; the HR BP VP will lead, with the AVP supporting
  4. Offer first-line ad-hoc advice to staff and line managers
  5. Support audits impacting the HR department
  6. Maintain and update the HR risk radar document
  7. Contribute to employee wellbeing initiatives and manage sick leave policies
  8. Validate vendor selection and manage contracts
  9. Conduct exit interviews as part of offboarding
  10. Contribute ideas for continuous improvement within the HR department
  11. Coordinate and advise on the annual appraisal process
  12. Assist the Sr. HRBP with employee cases (legal disputes, long-term sick leave, performance issues, exits)
  13. Ensure compliance with budget requests and CESCOE guidelines, validated by Sr. HRBP
  14. Manage leave processes, monitor compliance with self-service portals, and advise on special leaves such as parental or unpaid leave
  15. Oversee outsourced recruitment activities and ensure proper onboarding and offboarding processes
  16. Review and approve monthly payroll payments
