Zusammenfassung

Airbus Defence and Space GmbH in Bremen seeks an experienced Avionics Engineer responsible for technical ownership of safety-critical avionics systems. You will serve as the avionics architect, driving end-to-end development from requirements to validation and delivery.

You will lead complex projects, coordinate with subcontractors under the SENSE framework, and ensure ECSS-compliant processes while contributing to cost, schedule, and quality targets. English required; German desirable.

Job Description:We are looking for an experienced Avionics Engineer to take on technical responsibility for safety-critical systems. In this role, you will act as the avionics architect, driving complex projects from initial requirements all the way to final validation and delivery.Avionics Systems Architect (d/f/m)This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.Your locationBremen is a charming city full of history in the northwest of Germany. This includes analyzing customer requirements, creating subsystem requirements, tailoring development processes, tracking requirements, conducting risk analysis, implementation, verification, and validation.Specialized Focus: Apply your profound expertise in functional verification or other key avionics fields such as software engineering, simulation or mission analysis.Process Excellence: Ensure all development aligns with relevant engineering processes and overarching industry standards (e.g., ECSS).Work Package Management: Take ownership of complex work packages involving multiple stakeholders. You will assume overall responsibility for delivering On Cost, On Time, and On Quality (OCOTOQ).Subcontractor Coordination: Effectively manage and steer subcontractors within your projects or via the SENSE framework.Proposal: Actively participate in space exploration proposals and oversee technical trades and conduct accurate cost estimations.Desired skills and qualificationsEducation: University degree (Bachelor's or Master's) in Systems, Software, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering, or a closely related technical field.Languages: Business-fluent (negotiation level) English is required; a good working proficiency in German is highly desirable.Communication: Assertive, clear, and effective communication skills to successfully collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and clients.Industry Experience: Experience working with national customers is considered highly favorable.Flexibility: Willingness to travel as needed to support project deliverables and partner meetings.Not a 100% match?
