Position: Avionics Hardware Technician (f/m/d)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Avionics Hardware Technician to join our special-projects rocketry team. Work in a dynamic, international environment focused on engineering excellence while minimizing prototyping and production costs. Your Tasks
  1. Perform electrical and avionics installation, testing, and maintenance.
  2. Assemble, install, and integrate avionics hardware components.
  3. Conduct high-quality soldering of electronic components, wiring, and connectors.
  4. Install and modify complex harnesses within avionics shelves and panels, ensuring compliance with industry and company standards.
  5. Manufacture and document assembly of mechatronic actuators and valves, maintaining quality control.
  6. Test and diagnose electronic circuits down to the component level using specialized equipment.
  7. Assist the AIT team with mounting and integrating electrical harnesses, cabling, and subsystems.
  8. Interpret engineering drawings, documentation, and processes for accurate implementation.
  9. Support development of production processes for first-time runs and efficiency improvements.
  10. Identify potential blockers, monitor work progress, and ensure timely task completion.
  11. Document work and verification results clearly and precisely in the shop floor management system (ERP).
Your Qualifications
  1. Completed apprenticeship as electrician/electronics technician or similar.
  2. Work experience in electrical control systems and industrial sensors is preferred.
  3. Hands-on experience in building electrical and electro-mechanical assemblies with quality control.
  4. Proficiency with test and diagnostic equipment like multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  5. Ability to document complex systems accurately for clarity and traceability.
  6. Experience in aerospace is a plus.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills, independent, and goal-oriented work approach.
  8. Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
