The automotive industry is undergoing significant change with many Asian automotive companies entering the EMEA markets. Covestro is a major supplier to the automotive industry and aims to position its offerings as a prime cooperation partner for these new entrants.
In this role, you will be the core contact for developing accounts in the EMEA region, responsible for current and future business in EP Mobility with international transplants from Asia (OEM Tier and technology partners).
You will manage and develop the mobility business, focusing on market development and strategic initiatives. You will work closely with the sales team in Mobility EMEA and maintain direct contact with stakeholders in Asia, including Covestro accounts and partners.
Alongside our comprehensive benefits, you can expect an attractive starting salary between €102,000 and €124,000 per year, plus a variable component, for a full-time position. The exact salary will depend on your qualifications and experience.
Your responsibilities include identifying and activating new business opportunities with existing and new customers, developing sustainable projects, and establishing close relationships with key customers and decision-makers. You will gather market intelligence and contribute to the success of Mobility EMEA as a representative to Asian transplants, developing a holistic view of the region.
You will also be the primary contact for internal and external stakeholders for the Transplant business, handling commercial project developments and initiatives. Proactively presenting products and technologies to value-chain players (OEM, Tier 1, Tier 2) to achieve product listings and nominations for new serial automotive production, including collaboration with Asian technology partners, will be part of your role.
In collaboration with the Head of OEM & MD MOB EMEA and colleagues, you will develop and implement segment-specific strategies.
You hold a university degree or master's in engineering (e.g., plastics technology, vehicle construction) or a related field, with several years of relevant experience.
Broad experience in technical and commercial sales, application technology, especially with Asian automotive customers (OEM, Tier), is essential.
You demonstrate a professional and confident demeanor in customer interactions and possess assertiveness.
You combine strong analytical skills with excellent communication and presentation abilities, particularly with technical content.
As a team player and open-minded individual, you enjoy working with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Fluency in English and German, both written and spoken, is required. Knowledge of Chinese, Japanese, and/or Korean is a significant advantage.
