Position Summary

TÜV SÜD has been working with top automotive OEMs and suppliers globally and has been at the forefront of vehicle testing for over 100 years. In the era of highly automated driving, we leverage our extensive experience in testing and benchmarking advanced driver assistance systems. This position aims to expand our automotive business in the USA by executing highly automated driving projects focused on automotive security, including technical advice, training, support, and assessments.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Providing advisory services to customers in automotive cybersecurity, particularly in autonomous and connected driving.
• Conducting automotive cybersecurity assessments and audits.
• Managing projects for both national and international clients, including coordinating processes for cybersecurity certification of processes and products.
• Collaborating with colleagues to improve internal processes, procedures, and technical fundamentals.
• Developing and establishing new methods, processes, and products in automotive cybersecurity.
• Participating in national and international standards committees related to cybersecurity, influencing future standards and regulations for automated and connected driving.
• Occasionally conducting training and educational sessions.
• Focusing on customer satisfaction, account growth, service expansion, and maintaining customer loyalty for key clients.
• Supporting technical sales activities in automotive cybersecurity, collaborating with the sales team.
• Acting as a project manager when necessary and responding effectively to urgent customer issues.

Minimum Qualifications

• Completed studies in electrical engineering, mechatronics, computer science, physics, or comparable education.
• At least three years of relevant professional experience in cybersecurity, preferably within the automotive industry.
• Experience in automotive cybersecurity, standardization, and regulation topics such as ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE R155, R156, R157, NHTSA Cybersecurity Best Practices.
• Practical experience in automotive project work and project management methodologies.
• Deep knowledge in security methods, automotive bus systems, cryptographic methods, and protocols.
• Excellent team and communication skills, high initiative, and enthusiasm.
• Conscientious work ethic, commitment, and flexibility regarding work hours.
