Automation Test Engineer (Full-Stack) | Porto, Portugal

The Role:

Join our cross-functional engineering squads as a hands-on quality champion. You’ll design and implement automated test frameworks across web and mobile platforms, ensuring fast, reliable feedback throughout the CI/CD pipeline. Working with tools like Cypress, Playwright, Appium, and Jest, you’ll help define how we deliver quality at scale. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers, product managers, and designers to shape our testing strategy and ensure every release performs beautifully—across browsers, devices, and platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and maintain scalable test automation frameworks for web and mobile
• Collaborate on testing strategies, shifting left to prevent defects early
• Build end-to-end test coverage including performance, regression, integration, security, and usability testing
• Know when to automate and when manual testing delivers greater value
• Analyse test data and logs to drive continuous improvement
• Champion QA best practices across the organisation and delivery lifecycle

You Bring:

• 5+ years in software quality engineering, including hands-on test automation
• Proficiency in Cypress, Playwright, Appium, Jest, or equivalent tools
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, trunk-based development, and feature flags
• Strong understanding of test strategy, coverage, and quality metrics
• Sound judgment on balancing automated vs. manual testing based on context and risk
• Passion for clean, efficient, and meaningful automation

• Deep understanding of the full software development lifecycle—from backlog to release and support
• Ability to work effectively in English within a multicultural, international team

Interview Process:

2. Technical assessment (90 min) completed at your convenience
3. Three-stage interview:
1. Culture and delivery discussion (30 min)
2. Pair programming and whiteboarding (90 min)
3. Behavioural and situational interview (60 min)
