Zusammenfassung

MBraun Incorporated in Germany seeks an Automation Engineer to develop control systems and software architectures for standard and custom-built machinery. You will program and commission using Siemens TIA Portal and CODESYS, integrate third-party components, and contribute to safety assessments and validation plans.

Candidate should have a degree in automation or electrical engineering, experience with PLCs, and travel for commissioning at customer sites.

Qualifikationen

• Degree or vocational qualification in automation engineering, electrical engineering or related field.
• Knowledge of PLC programming, Siemens TIA Portal and/or CODESYS; Python programming is a plus.
• Experience commissioning systems with process and machine components like pneumatics, conveyors, vacuum systems or process media treatments.
• Ability to work with technical documentation including P&IDs and electrical schematics; understand overall system.
• Knowledge of functional safety such as IEC 62061 or EN ISO 13849 and safety programming, ideally with Siemens F-CPUs.
• Structured, independent work style and strong communication when collaborating with manufacturing teams and project stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for commissioning at customer sites.
• Fluent German and English; proficient MS Office usage.

Your Profile

• A completed degree or vocational qualification in automation engineering, electrical engineering or a related field
• Sound knowledge of PLC programming, particularly with Siemens TIA Portal and/or CODESYS; programming skills in a high-level language such as Python would be an advantage
• Experience commissioning systems incorporating process and machine components, such as pneumatics, conveyor systems, vacuum systems and process media treatment
• Proficiency in working with technical documentation, particularly piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) and electrical schematics, combined with an understanding of the overall system
• Knowledge of functional safety, such as IEC 62061 or EN ISO 13849, and practical experience in safety programming, ideally with Siemens fail-safe CPUs (F-CPUs)
• A comprehensive understanding of the system and a strong sense of responsibility for its overall technical performance
• A structured, independent approach to work and strong communication skills when collaborating with manufacturing teams and project stakeholders
• Willingness to travel occasionally for commissioning at customer sites
• Good command of written and spoken German and English, and proficiency in MS Office
