Job summary

Mengibar is seeking an Automation Engineer to drive the automation of each machine, including PLC and HMI programming and the development of new standard concepts.

The role involves collaboration with electrical and mechanical teams, occasional design tasks, remote troubleshooting, and travel to national and international customers for installation and support. Fluent in English and a background in Electrical or Computer Engineering with at least 2 years in machinery projects are required.

• Minimum 2 years experience in machinery projects.

Responsibilities

• Implement machine automation based on requirements and specifications.
• Program PLC and HMI controls.
• Develop new standard programming concepts.
• Participate in electrical design when required.
• Follow proper programming procedures per Head of Department.
• Collaborate with Technical Office on design tasks.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical departments.
• Perform remote troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Travel nationally and internationally for installation and support as needed.

• Implement the automation of each machine based on the required needs and specifications.
• PLC and HMI programming.
• Development of new standard programming concepts.
• Participate in electrical design when required.
• Carry out the proper programming procedures as well as follow the instructions given by the Head of the department.
• Occasional collaboration with the Technical Office in design tasks.
• Collaboration with the mechanical and electrical departments.
• Perform remote troubleshooting and diagnostics.
• Travel to national and international customers for machine installation and any necessary support, as required by CSM, in matters related to the automation department.
