Camera Operator (m/f/d)

YOUR CHALLENGE

As a Camera Operator, you are in a multifaceted role that involves video production, post-production, studio work, and live directing for our streamed events at coliquio.

You have the flexibility of a hybrid working model: from home in Germany and at our locations in Munich. For this role, it will be required to come into the office several days a week, and you need to be able to accommodate flexible work hours.

WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Video Production: Plan, shoot, and edit video content for various projects, including interviews, documentaries, and event coverage.
2. Technical Support: Provide technical support for live streaming, including setup, operation, troubleshooting of technical and software aspects.
3. Live directing: Use broadcast mixers, media key/fill software, and streaming platforms to direct live events.
4. Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial team to brainstorm ideas, develop concepts, and execute projects efficiently. Collaborate with all departments to meet coliquio’s specific needs and objectives.
5. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and organize video production equipment, ensuring good working condition and availability.
6. Quality Control: Ensure video and audio content meet coliquio’s standards, including framing, lighting, sound levels, and editing techniques.
7. Documentation: Use in-house project management tools to track media projects and document technical issues and resolutions.
8. Guidance: Provide technical guidance to staff members.
9. Working hours: May vary depending on projects; live productions often in the evening, some weekend congress coverage, and offsite client productions requiring travel.

WHAT YOU BRING

1. Educational Background: Degree or diploma in media production, broadcasting, graphic design, or a related field preferred. Relevant experience or training may also be considered.
2. Technical Skills: Proficiency with audiovisual equipment, troubleshooting, video production tools including cameras, lighting, microphones, and broadcast mixers (familiarity with Roland VR-120HD, Blackmagic ATEM Mini Extreme ISO is a plus).
3. Editing Skills: Proficiency with Apple Final Cut Pro and Apple Motion preferred. Familiarity with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign is a plus.
4. Creativity: Strong storytelling skills and attention to detail.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication in German (C1) and English (B2). Ability to convey technical information clearly and effectively.
6. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, capable of meeting deadlines under pressure.
7. Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
