The AV Technician II will join our expanding team onsite with one of our global clients. The hire will have the opportunity to work with some of the most innovative technologies in the world. The AV Technician II will provide support for corporate AV / VC environments, analyzing problems quickly and confidently using technical diagnostic skills to resolve issues. Responsibilities include supporting high-profile events, managing audio, video, conferencing technology, projects, maintenance, and support. Travel to various client offices may be required.
Scope :
- Works on moderately difficult assignments, requiring judgment in resolving issues
- Requires some instruction on new assignments and infrequent checks on daily work
Your Roles and Responsibilities :
- Participate in the installation of AV equipment and displays, including audio and video conferencing equipment, distributed audio, digital signage, control systems, and presentation systems
- Perform installation of structured cabling, including pulling, terminating, and testing Cat5e/6, video, RGB, HDMI, DVI, and audio cables
- Ensure SLAs and daily deliverables are met, including ticket updates
- Upload Crestron control programs to control processors and collaborate with remote program teams on control system certification
- Assist with inventory management, including weekly/monthly stock levels, returning products (RMA), and addressing inventory DOA issues
- Follow all client policies, standards, and safety guidelines
- Engage in troubleshooting and problem solving during installations
- Perform equipment setups, breakdowns, and troubleshoot issues during events
- Conduct pre-event checks as required
- Liaise with cross-functional teams and users before and during events
- Interface with end users and vendors to address requests and requirements
- Identify and resolve issues impacting client conference rooms
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications / Skills :
- High school diploma or GED, with 2 to 5 years of related experience or equivalent education and experience
- Build productive relationships internally and externally
- Exercise judgment within established procedures to determine appropriate actions
- Work independently with strong problem-solving skills
- Proficient in wiring, termination, and installation techniques of AV equipment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to interpret architectural, electrical, structural, and AV system drawings
- Flexible to work day, evening, or weekend shifts and travel as needed
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record

- Capable of lifting up to 15 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Prolonged sitting or standing may be required
- Ability to move within an office environment and communicate effectively
