PER is seeking Associates and Senior Associates for its Berlin office to source, evaluate, and manage lower mid-market private equity investments. The role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work on-site in Berlin.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of relevant experience, a solid finance background, and fluency in German and English. Relocation to Berlin is expected for all shortlisted candidates.

Headquartered in Berlin, the firm is now looking to expand its team by hiring a talented Associate and/or Senior Associate to play a key role in sourcing, executing, and managing investments. This role is based in Berlin, candidates must therefore be willing to relocate and work on-site.

What the job involves

• Deal Sourcing & Origination – Identifying investment opportunities and building industry relationships
• Financial Analysis & Valuation – Performing financial modeling, company valuations (DCF, LBO), and due diligence
• Transaction Execution – Supporting deal structuring, negotiations, and investment committee presentations
• Portfolio Management – Working with portfolio companies to drive growth, operational improvements, and strategic initiatives
• Exit Strategy – Assisting in preparing and executing exit processes
• Investor & Internal Reporting – Preparing reports for senior leadership, LPs, and contributing to fundraising efforts

Who we are looking for

• Solid academic foundation in business, finance or a related field
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
• 2-5 years of professional experience, ideally gained in top-tier investment banking, or private equity
• Team player with an entrepreneurial approach and a commercial mindset
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in German and English are a must
