The HCL Software is seeking a Consulting Sales Leader (CSL) to spearhead customer programs that drive business outcomes. The CSL acts as a trusted advisor, promoting and selling transformational professional services programs utilizing HCL Software. They oversee all aspects of business development, deal structuring, support, and ensure successful delivery and project closure within their assigned accounts or territories.
- Win new consulting implementation business.
- Develop and manage a sales strategy to generate new consulting pipeline and meet booking targets within an industry or set of accounts.
- Manage sales pursuits from opportunity qualification to closure by developing deal strategies and leading pursuit teams to create differentiated solutions that address customer problems.
- Build and execute realistic close plans for each opportunity to ensure forecast accuracy.
- Maintain consistent touchpoints across the aligned software industry to build relationships and sustain a healthy pipeline with software sellers.
- Influence software deal outcomes by serving as the implementation expert on joint pursuits, ensuring services and outcomes are included in software deals.
- Negotiate effectively and document contract scope, assumptions, and terms to mitigate risks for both HCL Software and clients.
- Maintain accurate key financial metrics such as pipeline, forecast, bookings, and attachments.
- Advise customers on project vision, implementation strategy, managing customizations, and best practices.
- Act as an advisor by providing insights to improve clients’ organizations or solve business challenges.
- Build long-term relationships with Line of Business and IT Vice Presidents, establishing trust as a dependable advisor.
- Ensure projects are successfully implemented within the original deal scope, revenue, and margin targets.
- Cultivate customer references as a measure of success in achieving business outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop thought leadership and enhance sales and delivery approaches.
- Develop expertise and insights into industry trends and directions.
- Mentor team members to excel in their roles, supporting their career growth and benefiting the business and clients.
- Contribute to the creation of sales and marketing materials.
Basic Qualifications
- Minimum of 8 years in a Client Partner role or similar consulting sales experience, including 5 years of consulting and 2 years of project management leadership.
- Experience in enterprise software/services sales and implementation/delivery, including Cloud.
- Credible experience selling digital transformation strategies.
- Willingness to travel as required (25%-50%).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DXP platforms such as HCL DX, Sitecore, or Adobe Experience Platform.
- Experience in a software vendor’s services or software services business is advantageous.
