The Estates division provides a comprehensive range of property and asset management services, helping clients maximise the value, performance and efficiency of their property portfolios. The team specialises in property management, valuations, landlord and tenant matters, business rates advice, development consultancy, surveying services and strategic asset management. In addition, the Estates team
undertakes specialist land agency work, acting on behalf of clients in relation to land acquisition, disposal, wayleaves, easements, rights of way and development land matters. The team also has extensive experience in Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) projects, providing advice on land acquisition, compensation negotiations, stakeholder engagement and representation throughout the CPO process, supporting infrastructure, regeneration, highways and development schemes from inception through to delivery.
Responsible for supporting the Estates Director in the management and leadership of professional/technical staff specialising in property management (including management and day-to-day supervision of a team). Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, building and maintaining effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders while delivering clear, professional and commercially focused advice. Contribute to the Estates
financial management, including robust performance management of the team, monitoring income and expenditure, fee forecasting, resource planning and continually striving for best practice. Have extension knowledge of and manage/liaise with clients in the provision of effective day-to-day professional Valuation and Estates Management advice (including but not limited to property, land, development, valuation, landlord & tenant, acquisition, CPO, disposals matters) and ensuring the quality and output of work is maintained in the team and is to the highest standard and within agreed timescales and budgets. Undertake all aspects of general practice work, in accordance with professional RICS standards/guidance (or other applicable legislation) and carryout duties appropriate to the grade and Chartered nature of the post. Support business development activities (including but not limited to networking, proposal preparation, bid/tender submissions, client presentations) and for identifying new
business opportunities. Fee earning at 80% and contribute to the achievement of the business plan objectives and targets. Carry out other duties commensurate with your grade as directed by your line manager. Promote continuous improvement and deliver demonstrable high-quality products and service which embrace quality standards.
Professional Chartered membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Batchelors Degree or equivalent in an Estates related discipline Have or immediately obtain Registered Valuer registration Extensive experience in a similar role Sound legal knowledge of all Estates management activities, managing property portfolios, valuation methodology and all property valuation techniques Management certificate/experience Understanding of business planning, commercial risk management and financial management Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Familiar with construction, health and safety legislation and risks and hazards
