Jobbeschreibung

To enhance our BiTE Biology Team, we are seeking a qualified, professional, personable, and reliable Associate Scientist (m/f/d) // IPDE.

Your primary responsibility in the Integrated Protein Discovery & Engineering department involves conducting laboratory-based work to validate innovative ideas that enhance our bispecific antibody technology in response to clinical observations. This role encompasses a wide range of activities, from tumor biology to protein engineering and a diverse range of cell-biological, molecular-biological, and protein-chemical methodologies within a small, innovative team in our IPDE department.

Primary tasks and responsibilities include:
  • Providing proof of concepts for innovative ideas to advance our bispecific antibody technology by:
  • Designing and engineering bispecific proteins at the molecular level
  • Culturing and transfecting cell lines and isolating primary cells
  • Expressing, purifying, and characterizing BiTE antibody proteins in vitro
  • Independently planning and executing experiments, including result evaluation
  • Presenting results in internal meetings
Requirements and basic qualifications:
  • Diploma or master’s degree in a relevant field (Biology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology)
  • Proficient in cell culture methods, molecular biology, and immunochemical detection techniques
  • Experience in protein expression, purification, and characterization
  • Interest in bispecific proteins and immuno-oncology
  • Basic knowledge in immunobiology and antibody engineering is preferred
  • Creativity and perseverance in solving scientific problems
  • Ability to work independently on projects
  • Team player with strong organizational skills and high motivation
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English and German
