Jobbeschreibung

About You

We are looking for a high-potential, entrepreneurial Associate to join our Investor Relations team with a focus on fundraising, distribution, and LP relationship management. This role is an exceptional opportunity to operate at the core of the European venture capital ecosystem - partnering directly with senior leadership and engaging with some of the world’s most sophisticated institutional investors.

From day one, you’ll work side by side with Earlybird Partners on high-impact projects: managing LP communications, contributing to fund strategy, and driving capital raising processes across Europe and beyond. This is not a back-office role - it's a front-row seat to how VC firms are built and grown. We’re looking for someone who wants to take ownership, grow quickly, and build toward a long-term leadership path. This role offers the opportunity to shape your trajectory within the firm - with the potential to evolve into a senior investor relations or even partnership-level position over time.

About Earlybird

Founded in 1997, Earlybird backs exceptional early-stage companies across Europe - supporting them with capital, strategic guidance, and access to a global network. Our platform includes dedicated strategies for tech and health, a Growth Opportunity Fund for follow-ons, and a pro-bono initiative, Vision Lab. With €2.5 billion under management and a track record of 9 IPOs and 35 trade sales, Earlybird is one of Europe’s most established venture capital firms.

At Earlybird, your projects, responsibilities, and tasks will likely include:
  • Build and manage LP relationships – serve as a key point of contact for new and existing investors, ensuring consistent communication and high-quality engagement
  • Drive positioning efforts – help craft strategic narratives and investor messaging that differentiates our platform in a competitive fundraising landscape
  • Own fundraising workflows – support fund closings from initial outreach to final negotiation and onboarding, coordinating legal and operational steps with precision
  • Source and qualify LP leads – identify new investor segments and apply creative outreach strategies to connect with decision-makers
  • Lead intern selection and mentoring – recruit and supervise IR interns, provide feedback, and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing
What we hope you bring to the role:
  • 3+ years of full-time experience in finance, consulting, investor relations, or placement agents
  • Strong exposure to distribution or fundraising processes, ideally with quantifiable outcomes (e.g. capital raised, accounts converted, pipeline built)
  • Proven ability to build and manage investor relationships across geographies and segments
  • Outstanding academic background, ideally a Master’s degree from a leading university (e.g. in business, finance, economics, or a related field)
  • Structured, analytical mindset paired with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus
  • Highly proficient in PowerPoint and Excel - able to build clear, concise presentations and manage fundraising pipelines
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Deep interest in venture capital, startups, and long-term relationship building
  • Work authorization for Germany or the UK
