We are searching for the best talent for our Associate Director Professional Education EMEA (m/f/d) position, located in Europe.

Key Responsibility

As we expand our educational footprint across the EMEA region, we are seeking an experienced visionary Associate Director, Professional Education EMEA to drive regional strategy and execution of transformative education initiatives for healthcare professionals.

As Associate Director Professional Education EMEA, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high quality, evidence-based education programs for healthcare professionals across disciplines close to cardiovascular diseases. This includes designing regionally relevant curricula, optimizing digital and in-person delivery models, and aligning with global education and commercialization strategies. You will serve as a critical link between clinical stakeholders, internal teams and key opinion leaders across EMEA and Middle East.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership
  • Lead the EMEA professional education strategy for J&J Heart recovery, ensuring alignment with global education and commercial objectives.
  • Develop annual regional education plans, including key performance metrics and budget planning.
  • Program Development
  • Create and oversee delivery of physician training, proctorship models, case-based education, procedural simulations, and blended learning formats.
  • Localize and adapt global content to meet EMEA regulatory, cultural, and clinical practice variations
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Partner with Medical Affairs, Clinical, Regulatory, and Commercial teams to ensure content accuracy and strategic alignment.
  • Build strong relationships with external experts, training centers, and medical societies to support program credibility and reach.
  • Faculty & KOL Engagement
  • Identify, recruit, and manage KOL faculty for courses, congresses, and peer-to-peer programs.
  • Facilitate speaker development, peer-review processes, and curriculum advisory boards.
  • Operational & Compliance Excellence
  • Ensure educational programs comply with MedTech Europe Code of Ethical Business Practice and local regulations.
  • Manage external vendors, logistics, and platform partners for seamless program execution.
  • Oversee educational grants (within Professional Education budget) in alignment with educational strategy and compliance standards
  • Outcomes & Continuous Improvement
  • Analyze program feedback and outcomes to optimize content and delivery.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and emerging clinical trends to ensure educational leadership.

  • Proven track record of leadership experience in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, or Education (Master’s or clinical background preferred).
  • Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in professional education, clinical training, or medical affairs, preferably within the cardiovascular MedTech sector.
  • Strong understanding of interventional cardiology, electrophysiology, structural heart, or vascular procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead education initiatives across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., MedTech Europe, EFPIA).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in English (additional European languages are a plus).
  • Willing to travel regionally (up to 50%).
