The holder of this position will be a key member of the DACH Commercial team, responsible for conducting regular assessments within the DACH region to identify training needs for both the DACH MASL and Sales teams. You will collaborate closely with Regional Sales Heads and MSL Heads to pinpoint specific skill gaps and areas for improvement within the DACH cluster field teams. Additionally, you will develop training programs, deliver training sessions, support field performance, onboard new employees, and collaborate with Marketing, Commercial Effectiveness, and other key stakeholders.

What will your tasks as “Associate Director – Field Trainer Sales & Medical DACH (m / f / x)” be?
  1. Conduct regular assessments within the DACH region to identify training needs for the DACH MSL and sales teams. Collaborate with Regional Sales Heads and MSL Heads to pinpoint skill gaps and areas for improvement.
  2. Design and develop comprehensive training programs tailored to the pharmaceutical environment in the DACH region, aligned with strategic objectives.
  3. Create materials and resources for product knowledge, sales techniques, and customer engagement in collaboration with the DACH team and L&D EMEA.
  4. Conduct training sessions through workshops, webinars, e-learning modules, and on-the-job training within the DACH region.
  5. Assist Regional Sales Heads and MSL Heads in developing performance improvement plans.
  6. Provide ongoing coaching and support to help field team members achieve targets (CoVisits).
  7. Incorporate Field Force Excellence principles into coaching and training activities to enhance performance.
  8. Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, utilizing data to refine programs continually.
  9. Adjust training programs based on changing commercial and medical objectives, feedback, and market conditions.
  10. Develop and manage a structured onboarding process for new hires, tailored to the pharmaceutical sales and medical environment in DACH.
  11. Facilitate orientation sessions on company culture, values, policies, and procedures.
  12. Provide initial training on product knowledge, sales processes, and CRM systems.
  13. Work closely with Marketing, Commercial Effectiveness, and Medical teams to ensure training content is accurate and current.
  14. Collaborate with commercial and medical teams to adapt strategies and align training initiatives with business goals.
  15. Support the collection and analysis of clinical insights and integrate key insights into medical strategies, tactics, and tools.
Your requirements as a “Associate Director – Field Trainer Sales & Medical DACH (m / f / x)”?
  1. Formal trainer education, certification, or equivalent qualification (e.g., Train-the-Trainer, coaching certification).
  2. Extensive experience in conducting professional training and coaching sessions tailored to the pharmaceutical industry, including facilitating workshops and Co-Visits.
  3. Proven experience in the German pharmaceutical market, especially in the Rx sector.
  4. Fluent in German and English.
  5. Prior experience as a pharmaceutical field sales representative or medical field role is highly desirable.
  6. Ability to design and deliver training focusing on technical knowledge and soft skills.
  7. Willingness to work in a field-based position, collaborating closely with Regional Sales and MSL Heads.
  8. Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  9. Experience managing multiple projects and ensuring timely delivery of training initiatives.
  10. Willingness to travel frequently within the DACH region (approximately 60%).
  11. Ability to adapt to dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  12. This position will work closely with Medical DACH, Sales DACH, and L&D EMEA teams.
  13. This is a non-supervisory position for now.
  14. Position is field-based across Germany, with an anticipated start date of 01.10.2025.
