Jobbeschreibung

We are looking for a Digital Lead Medical Affairs (Associate Director) (m / f / d) to join our Medical Affairs team in Munich, Germany.

The role is a very cross-functional one with a close collaboration with all functions in Medical Affairs (local and global) as well as outside especially with Digital, Data & IT, CRM / Data Analytics and Legal & Compliance.

In this role you will report to the Director Medical Operations.

Your Key Responsibilities :

  • You will develop business strategies (i.e. digitalization strategy Medical Affairs) and implement digital tools for customer engagement
  • You will be responsible for developing further the Digital Roadmap over all therapeutic areas and its implementation. You will be responsible to create the "digital world of the future" within our Medical Affairs division in Germany.
  • You will ensure that the content which is provided by digital tools meets the requirements for Scientific Exchange according to our internal SOPs
  • Support and implement the Medical Modernization Initiatives at a local level, with focus on coordinating the workstream at the local level, defining and involving the right contacts for a smooth process, supporting the necessary mindset, and identifying learnings.
  • Evaluate and assess new systems and technologies while further developing the medical business systems and technology strategy in alignment with company-wide systems
  • Your responsibility is on local level, but it is important to ensure alignment and collaboration with our Global Medical Scientific Affairs
  • You will make decisions that impact key processes, customer interaction and you will support the interfacing departments, the resourcing and implementation of projects and technologies
  • You will coordinate the Digital, Data & IT teams involved and ensure coordination in these areas
  • You will ensure good understanding by the team, identify, and recognize organizational barriers and obstacles and propose action plans when necessary

Major processes to be managed by you :

  • Develop further Customer Engagement & Digital Strategy (e.g. Stakeholder Systematization, CRM data strategy, digital communication channels, Website strategy, processes supported by AI)
  • Evaluate and assess new systems and technologies while further developing the medical business systems and technology strategy in alignment with company-wide systems
  • Ensure medical representation and engagement within Germany for our company-wide digital initiatives and processes
  • Strong Alignment / Governance with our Global Medical Scientific Affairs digital strategy
  • Requirement gathering from Medical Affairs Business and close collaboration with Associate Director Medical Systems
  • Definition and implementation of productivity improvements (training of all staff members, standardization where possible but flexibility where necessary) together with Associate Director Medical Systems
  • Development of communication plans
  • Financial planning and budgeting
  • Data Privacy and Work Council Management

Your Profile :

  • Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs
  • Deep understanding of Medical processes to set and achieve operational objectives
  • Deep understanding of CRM systems (e.g. VEEVA) and evaluation of potential improvements for Medical
  • Very good stakeholder management and persuasion skills, considering the need for intensive collaboration between different stakeholders at local and global level
  • Excellent communication, strategic planning and implementation skills
  • Someone who is intensely collaborative, and can balance gaining buy-in with an ability to decide what is right for their project
  • Very strong analytical and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects
  • High IT understanding to be able to define and test new digital tools and applications to comply with company needs including needs of other users (departments)
  • Fluent in German and English, both spoken and written
