TÜV SÜD Global Risk Consultants, a global leader in property loss control, has an immediate opening for an Associate Consultant - Property Loss Control – Fire based in Japan.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Satisfactorily completing the TÜV SÜD GRC new employee training program.
  • Conducting Loss Control Surveys for prospects and clients.
  • Performing plan review services.
  • Managing your own workload effectively.
  • Developing technical expertise to provide services for increasingly complex risks.

As your experience and skills increase, responsibilities will expand to include:

  • Conducting property loss control surveys to evaluate property and business interruption exposures based on NFPA Standards.
  • Developing recommendations with loss estimates before and after implementation.
  • Evaluating automatic fire protection and water supply systems.
  • Reporting on building construction, occupancy, and hazards.
  • Developing loss estimates based on scenarios like Maximum Foreseeable Loss.
  • Providing training and peer review for other consultants; serving as a technical resource.
  • Offering services such as training, loss control program development, and regulatory interpretation.
  • Preparing proposals, service instructions, and stewardship reports, and soliciting client feedback.
  • Engaging in project management including site visits, plan reviews, and presentations to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree or higher.
  • Disciplined and motivated to manage assigned work.
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to client needs and support business decision-making.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, lift/carry up to 50 lbs., and traverse catwalks.

Professional conduct and communication skills are essential, as the role involves direct interaction with client management, including risk and financial managers.
