Associate Communications Specialist

About the job

The Marketing team is looking for an Associate Communications Specialist to enhance awareness, shape perception, and expand SAS's presence in Germany. You will develop and execute the Communications/PR plan in close collaboration with management.

If creating innovative communication formats to engage diverse target groups and stakeholders comes naturally to you, and if you’re a versatile professional combining various tools with curiosity and a passion for integrated communication, this role is for you!

While focusing on the German market, you'll contribute to the global marketing and communications organization. You will report to the Head of Communications.

Responsibilities include:

1. Generating, adapting, coordinating, and publishing social media content for our corporate channels in local language, including analyzing and measuring success.
2. Supporting journalists and influencers with our PR agency, handling media inquiries, press interviews, and preparing content and briefings.
3. Developing customer references in text, image, video, and sound in consultation with sales teams.
4. Managing local branding efforts, supporting the rollout of the Global Brand Campaign and Corporate Identity Program, and developing local messages and translations.
5. Supporting internal communication, advising local executives, and collaborating with the Exec team on presentations and internal events.
6. Developing tailored messaging for the German market on topics like Data & AI, Analytics, and Risk Management.
7. Participating in cross-divisional virtual communication teams to implement global strategies locally.
8. Managing budgets and project costs with the communications manager.

Required qualifications

1. 1-2 years of communications experience, preferably in a tech company or PR agency.
2. Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields such as English, Journalism, Business, Marketing, or Communications.
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
4. Interpersonal skills to build relationships.
5. Leadership qualities and initiative.
6. Interest in Data & AI and embracing technology.
7. Fluency in German and English.
