Area: Ruhrgebiet

Employer: A modern, future-oriented hospital with approximately 530 beds, located in the metropolitan region west of the Ruhr area, surrounded by many universities. It features several departments including internal medicine, surgery, radiology, gynecology, pediatrics, perinatal, and breast center.

The anesthesia department handles a wide range of procedures, performing about 8,000 anesthesias annually in 7 operating rooms. The department undertakes complex procedures such as pediatric anesthesia and thoracic/vascular surgery, utilizing all modern anesthesia techniques, with a high proportion of ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia. The hospital is certified according to DEGUM. The interdisciplinary intensive care unit with 18 beds is managed jointly with the cardiology department and is well-equipped. The hospital also operates two NEF locations.

Position Description

The training will emphasize managing major surgical procedures, obstetric anesthesia, and regional anesthesia techniques with catheter technology for acute pain management. The chief physician holds full training authorization in anesthesia. Additionally, there are opportunities to pursue further specialization in intensive care medicine.
