Westside Gas Producers, LLC operates a landfill gas to renewable natural gas (RNG) processing facility at the Waste Management landfill in Three Rivers, MI, with an inlet capacity of 4.5 MMSCFD, utilizing the Krysol process for purification. WSD operations oversee GCCS maintenance and expansion.

Job Summary

Location: Three Rivers, MI

Lead and supervise the operations team at the site to achieve operational and financial goals as per the budget. Merge routine operations with asset management to optimize financial results while ensuring safety, environmental compliance, and company growth. Develop and lead the team to uphold DTE's Service Keys: Safe, Caring, Dependable, and Efficient, and promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and work/life balance.

The employee will operate and maintain a DOT regulated pipeline and will be subject to random drug screening as per DOT PHMSA requirements.

Key Accountabilities
  • Operate the facility independently, perform maintenance, troubleshoot, and develop training materials and procedures.
  • Manage daily operations, review performance, and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Serve as the primary contact with the customer regarding operations and production scheduling.
  • Ensure safety and environmental responsibility in all operations, in compliance with regulations and company values.
  • Assist in budget development, control costs, and forecast production.
  • Plan and coordinate major maintenance and contractor activities.
  • Report on operational performance, implement maintenance plans, and train staff on safety and technical topics.
  • Ensure policy compliance and share best practices across the organization.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus at least 5 years of progressive experience in a relevant industrial environment.
Other Qualifications

Preferred:

  • Experience in supervision or management.

Additional requirements include:

  • Understanding of plant equipment operation and maintenance, energy efficiency, regulatory compliance, organizational skills, problem-solving, communication, proficiency in Microsoft Office, ability to work flexible hours, respond to emergencies, and travel as needed.
Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Must meet physical requirements such as lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions, including outdoor weather and around machinery.
