Assistant Manager SCM / Team Lead Logistics & Purchasing

I am looking for a Assistant Manager / Team Lead to oversee logistics and purchasing for a leading global manufacturer in the precision engineering space, within their European HQ.

Your Role

• Lead and manage a team of 5 within the logistics department, overseeing both technical and personnel responsibilities
• Plan and manage department budgets, staffing, and investments in line with company goals
• Oversee and report on annual inventory across all storage locations in accordance with financial and compliance standards
• Develop and optimise material supply strategies using SAP EWM and MM modules
• Drive continuous improvement and digitalisation of logistics processes, including close collaboration with external logistics partners (3PL)
• Lead cross-functional logistics initiatives aligned with corporate strategy and operational efficiency
• Act as a key contributor in SAP module enhancement projects to support greater flexibility and process optimisation

What You Bring

• Strong knowledge of SAP modules: EWM, MM, LE, SD, TM, and EDI interfaces
• Experience in outbound logistics, transport, customs/export, and 3PL management
• Proven leadership skills and a solution-oriented, collaborative mindset
• Fluency in English (German a plus)
• Class B driving license available
