COREcruitment Ltd in Munich seeks an enthusiastic Assistant General Manager to join a busy, international dining venue. You will support the General Manager, lead the team, and ensure memorable guest experiences on every shift.

This hands-on role requires strong P&L and budgeting knowledge, excellent English and German, and a passion for hospitality. It is a full-time, on-site position with a generous holiday allowance and performance-based bonus.

I am looking for an enthusiastic Assistant General Manager to join a busy, international dining venue in Munich.

This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on manager who can support the General Manager, inspire the team, and help create memorable guest experiences every day.

What you’ll be doing

• Support the General Manager and wider leadership team with the daily operation of the venue.
• Act as the GM’s right hand and take full operational responsibility in their absence.
• Help manage budgets, forecasts, rotas, P&L performance, and operational costs.
• Monitor KPIs and contribute to achieving key commercial and service targets.
• Coach, mentor, and develop junior managers and team members.
• Handle employee relations matters, including attendance, lateness, and performance concerns.
• Maintain high standards across service, product quality, systems, and guest experience.
• Create a positive, energetic, guest-first culture.
• Motivate the team and ensure everyone feels supported and engaged.
• Act as a Learning Coach, encouraging continuous development at all levels.
• Lead by example and bring plenty of enthusiasm, personality, and positive energy to every shift.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience as an Assistant General Manager, General Manager, Operations Manager, or similar.
• Experience in a busy, high-volume restaurant, café, bar, F&B, or branded dining environment.
• A strong understanding of P&L, budgeting, forecasting, rotas, and operational KPIs.
• Confident leadership and excellent communication skills.
• A genuine passion for hospitality and customer service.
• A hands-on, energetic, and people-focused management style.
• The ability to stay calm, organised, and positive during busy service periods.
• Fluent English and German language skills.
• Ideally, candidates will already be based in Munich or the surrounding area.

Training and development

The successful candidate will complete structured operational training at a certified training venue, potentially in another European city, subject to availability.

Training will usually last approximately four weeks, with travel, accommodation, and expenses fully covered.

Where travel is not possible due to personal commitments, training may be completed at the Munich venue.

• Salary of €52,000–€55,000 per year.
