The Group Electron beam analytics is looking for an Assistant (f/m/d) Technical employee for in-situ analysis systems (XRF and LIBS).
Your tasks
- Planning and conducting in-situ measurements using XRF and LIBS
- Sample preparation
- Basic evaluation of the measurement data
- Calibration of the analytical equipment
- Implementation and documentation of QA-QM measures
Your profile
- Successfully completed apprenticeship as Chemical laboratory assistant, Physics lab assistant (f/m/d), or
- Completed university studies (Bachelor) in the field of Analytical chemistry, Earth Sciences, Natural sciences in general or related field
- Knowledge of the calibration of various chemical-analytical measuring instruments (preferably LIBS & XRF methods)
- Experience in handling various solid sample materials such as powders, particles, soil samples or dried plant material is desirable
- Experience in handling RFA and/or LIBS devices is an advantage but not essential
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team
- The willingness to carry out the analyses during measurement campaigns in Central Europe is assumed
- Knowledge of common Office applications
- Knowledge of basic statistical analysis software is an advantage but not essential
- Basic knowledge of written and spoken English, German language skills are an advantage
