Assistant Brand Manager - Benelux & Italy

Are you passionate about building iconic brands and executing creative marketing strategies that deliver results?

Do you have experience in supporting brand initiatives across diverse European markets, including digital, social, and in-store marketing?

Can you collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to drive brand growth in key territories?

MacGregor Black are partnering with a global market leading Consumer Goods Brand, on the search for an Assistant Brand Manager.

As Assistant Brand Manager, you will be responsible for delivering impactful marketing campaigns across multiple channels and territories. You will support two well-established brands – by helping develop and execute brand strategies that engage consumers and support growth in the DIY, Mass Retail, and eCommerce sectors. This role is suited to an enthusiastic and organised marketing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the European Marketing Director, you will assist in the execution of marketing plans the brands across Benelux and Italy.
  • Develop consumer and trade marketing materials to support product launches, promotions, and retailer marketing initiatives.
  • Take ownership of smaller NPD (New Product Development) projects from ideation through to launch.
  • Coordinate the creation and execution of digital, PR, and social media campaigns through internal teams and agency partners.
  • Manage web and social platforms, ensuring relevant and engaging content is delivered consistently in line with brand and PR strategies.
  • Support the Brand Manager in the development of ATL (Above The Line) marketing and advertising materials.
  • Analyse market and sales performance data (e.g., from GfK) to generate insights and optimise marketing spend.
  • Assist with packaging and display artwork development, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met.
  • Manage translation processes and delivery of multilingual materials across the EU region.
  • Represent the brand at events and tradeshows when required.
  • Lead weekly agency calls to keep marketing projects on track and aligned with business goals.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven marketing experience, preferably in FMCG or consumer goods.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube).
  • Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills in English (Dutch and/or Italian a plus).
  • Detail-oriented team player with excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Comfortable collaborating across departments including Sales, R&D, and external agencies.
  • Previous experience working with retailers in the grocery, DIY, or mass merchandising space is desirable.
  • Analytical mindset with experience using retail analytics tools such as GfK, Nielsen, or IRI preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to travel (10–15%).
