Build the hardware powering tomorrow’s climate solutions.
At Everest Carbon, we’re developing groundbreaking sensors that measure how much CO₂ is removed from the atmosphere through Enhanced Weathering – a scalable, natural solution to the climate crisis. Our sensors are already being used in the field, and demand is growing fast. We’re looking for a hands-on Assembly Technician to help us build the next generation of these devices.
You’ll join our production team at an exciting moment: setting up a new manufacturing process from the ground up. This is not just a repetitive assembly job — it's a technical, dynamic role where you’ll solder PCBs, flash firmware, test and troubleshoot systems, and contribute to improving our production workflows.
Tasks
- Assemble and test complete sensor systems from start to finish
- Solder and inspect electronic components
- Flash firmware to microcontrollers and validate communication with our cloud platform
- Manufacture and assemble mechanical parts (including 3D-printed components)
- Build and calibrate chemical sensing cells according to documented processes
- Conduct quality control, functional tests, and prepare systems for field deployment
- Propose and implement improvements to speed up and scale production
Requirements
- Completed technical training (e.g., Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, apprenticeship, or similar)
- Confident using soldering irons, multimeters, and other electronics lab tools
- Comfortable reading schematics, wiring diagrams, and following assembly procedures
- Organized, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment
- Bonus: experience with firmware flashing, mechanical assembly, or production line work
Benefits
- Mission-driven work: your hands will literally build devices that help fight climate change
- Growth opportunity: as we scale, you’ll have the chance to move into leadership roles or specialize further (e.g., QA, automation, or logistics)
- Startup vibe, real impact: small team, flat hierarchy, big goals
- Benefits: paid vacation, healthcare, retirement plan, free snacks & good coffee, and a beautiful Berlin office with lab space
