A world-leading manufacturer of rotating equipment and mechanical components for various industrial sectors, including pulp and paper, chemical, oil & gas, food and beverage, mining, process, defense, power, and pharmaceutical. Established for many years, the company operates globally with sites in over 100 countries, manufacturing products, systems, and solutions that enhance pump efficiency and reliability, reducing maintenance downtime and costs.

Due to growth, they are expanding their German sales team in three critical regions: East Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, and Northwest Germany (Hamburg area). This role offers a home-based setup with regular customer visits across the region.

Reporting to the German Sales Manager, the successful candidate will manage business activities within their region, focusing 60% on strategic key account management and 40% on new business development. The client base is diverse, spanning various industrial and manufacturing environments, requiring technical solution selling skills, a mechanical engineering aptitude, and knowledge of rotating equipment.

The role involves managing existing clients and developing new accounts, with a focus on industries such as paper and pulp, chemical processing, food and beverage, mining, power, nuclear, oil and gas, chemicals, hydrogen, and pharmaceuticals. The candidate should have a mechanical engineering background, with or without an apprenticeship or degree, and ideally knowledge of mechanical seals, gaskets, bearings, and pump reliability.

This is a home-based position requiring regular visits, with an expectation to spend about one day in the home office and four days on customer sites. The role includes reporting sales activities monthly, supported by internal sales engineers for technical backing. Strong account management and business development skills are essential, along with a mechanical engineering mindset and fluent German and good English skills.

The candidate should have external sales experience in related sectors, a proven B2B sales record, excellent communication skills, and a proactive attitude. Extensive product training will be provided. The expected earnings are up to €120,000 annually, including bonuses.

  • Mechanical engineering background or qualification
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment and mechanical seals is highly beneficial
  • Strong relationship management and business development skills
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Proactive, dynamic attitude with upselling and cross-selling skills
  • Engineering qualification or apprenticeship is advantageous
  • Full product training provided
