Established for many years, they are a global leader with a multimillion turnover, operating in over 100 countries. They produce products, systems, and solutions that improve pump efficiency, reliability, and reduce maintenance costs.

Due to growth, they are expanding their German sales team in three key regions: East Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, and Northwest Germany (Hamburg area). Join a successful German sales team serving established clients across diverse industries. This modern, net-zero, precision engineering manufacturing company is renowned worldwide for innovation, reliability, and service. They are leaders in pump reliability, mechanical seals, and gaskets, helping clients minimize downtime and costs.

The role reports directly to the German Sales Manager, with responsibilities including managing existing clients and developing new business within your designated region (60% key account management, 40% new business). You'll sell technical solutions across various industrial environments, requiring a mechanical engineering aptitude or qualification (apprenticeship or degree). Your expertise should include rotating equipment, mechanical seals, and related components, with a strong focus on process efficiency improvements in industries such as food & beverage, mining, power, nuclear, oil & gas, chemicals, hydrogen, and pharmaceuticals.

This is a home-based role with regular regional customer visits. Expect to work from your home office most of the time, with four days dedicated to customer development and management. You will report sales activities monthly, supported by internal sales engineers for technical backup. We seek candidates with strong account management and business development skills, a mechanical engineering background, and realistic earnings of around €120,000.

The Candidate:

  • Experience in external sales within sectors like mechanical seals, rotating equipment, pumps, valves, motors, etc.
  • Mechanical engineering background or qualification
  • Knowledge of rotating equipment and mechanical seals is highly beneficial
  • Strong strategic thinker with relationship management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging at various levels
  • Proven B2B sales record
  • Dynamic, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude
  • Engineering qualification or apprenticeship is advantageous
  • Fluent in German and proficient in English
  • Ability to identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities
