As an Area Manager, you’ll ensure your site runs smoothly to meet customer demand. You will lead a team that maintains safety, efficiency, and high quality, while managing projects across our network to enhance productivity.

2. Analyze and implement changes to maintain high quality and productivity
3. Manage projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and improve service quality
4. Evaluate shift performance against business goals and implement improvement actions
5. Collaborate with management to standardize shift practices

A day in the life

You will work in a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on productivity, safety, quality, and performance standards. Your day will include team management, process improvements, and operational contingency tasks. You will also mentor new managers.

About the team

The Amazon Transportation Service (ATS) team plays a vital role in Amazon's success, using air, sea, and road transport, along with advanced sortation centers, to ensure efficient delivery. The team leverages data for decision-making, prioritizes safety, and strives for quick, convenient, and sustainable package delivery.

Grundqualifikationen

• A university degree
• Experience communicating with diverse stakeholders, including peers and leadership
• Experience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence decisions
• Fluent in verbal and written English and German

Bevorzugte Qualifikationen

• Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques
• Experience in logistics environments
