Job description

Labor and fulfillment operations are at the heart of Rohlik Group's e-grocery model. Across our high-throughput fulfillment centers, our operations team ensures that every order is picked, packed, and dispatched flawlessly—setting the standard for efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.

The Area Manager – Lift is an elite entry point into our Talent Pipeline Accelerator. Explicitly reserved for top-tier candidates, this role is designed for leaders who demonstrate analytical maturity and drive. You will spend your first 12 months mastering core operational excellence, eliminating systemic inefficiencies at your site, and preparing to fast-track your path into country-wide, cross-functional leadership.

Why this role is exciting
  • Accelerated Career Velocity: A compressed development path designed to turn a traditional 6–8 year journey to Senior Operations Management into 24–36 months

  • Fast-Track Progression: Clear trajectory for promotion to Operations Manager within 12 months, tracking directly toward Senior Leadership

  • Senior Executive Mentorship: Direct pairing with a Senior Leader (FC Manager or Director) for monthly strategic guidance and mentorship

  • Elite Peer Network: Collaboration with a tightly selected, cross-border cohort of high-potential leaders across CZ and DACH

  • Direct Strategic & Operational Ownership: Freedom to drive site-level step-change projects and implement great ideas immediately without waiting for distant corporate approvals

What you will own and deliver
  • Shift & Execution Leadership: Lead daily operations across shifts to meet strict targets for safety, quality, on-time delivery, and cost-per-order

  • Continuous Improvement Projects: Own and execute a dedicated Site-Level Step-Change Project focused on eliminating operational defects and optimizing complex fulfillment workflows

  • Team Leadership & Culture: Lead and inspire front-line operations associates and team leaders on the floor, fostering high engagement, accountability, and safety compliance

  • Data-Driven Optimization: Partner with cross-functional teams (Safety, OpEx, HR, IT, Maintenance, Finance) to analyze complex data sets and translate numbers into actionable operational strategies

  • Business Performance Reviews: Support site leaders in labor planning, workflow design, and the preparation of weekly business reviews

What we are looking for
  • Educational Background: A university degree (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or MBA) is required

  • Relevant Experience: at least 1 year experience in people management, military, retail, logistics, manufacturing, or operations

  • Analytical & Strategic Mindset: Exceptional capability to interpret complex data sets, identify root causes, and solve operational problems

  • People Leadership: Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and drive large teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Ambiguity & Execution: High tolerance for ambiguity and the ability to make calculated decisions under operational velocity

  • Shift & Location Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible shifts (including weekends) directly on the fulfillment center floor, alongside geographic flexibility and readiness to travel occasionally to other FCs

  • Language Skills: English proficiency is required

What we offer
  • Unlimited Vacation: Unlimited vacation days for a balanced work-life balance

  • Tax-Free Benefits: Monthly vouchers of €45 tax-free (via become.1)

  • Remote Allowance: €20 monthly allowance towards internet costs

  • Exclusive Shopping Perk: Knuspr Xtra account with 10% cashback in the form of Knuspr Credits

  • Corporate Discounts: Great discounts via CorporateBenefits (fitness, travel, tickets, shopping, and much more)

  • Senior Leader Mentorship: Formal pairing with a leader for strategic career coaching.

  • Fast Growth: Unparalleled career progression in a rapidly scaling European e-grocery leader.

  • Impact & Autonomy: The ability to implement your ideas quickly with zero rigid corporate bureaucracy.
