Baron Philippe de Rothschild S.A. manages three classified growths in the Pauillac appellation, including the illustrious Château Mouton Rothschild. It also produces and sells a range of high-quality branded wines sourced from various partner winegrowers, which it blends, matures, and bottles itself, foremost among them the famous Mouton Cadet. It has two distinct lines of business, the Estates and branded wines, united under a single management in the same pursuit of excellence.

Baron Philippe de Rothschild (BPhR) is seeking a German and Austrian Sales Area Manager, based in Germany, reporting to the Export Area Director Eastern Europe - Africa – Middle East – Global Travel Retail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Oversee the development of BPhR’s strategic brands (Mouton Cadet, Escudo Rojo, Mapu) with our distribution partners in various markets.
  • Lead and motivate teams and clients of strategic partners to develop BPhR brands.
  • Ensure the execution of the yearly business plan, monitor KPIs with distributors.
  • Recommend and oversee the implementation of marketing activations, optimize budgets.
  • Sustain growth in e-commerce and on-trade channels.
  • Identify and secure business opportunities across all channels (off trade, on trade, e-commerce, B2B/B2C).
  • Promote and develop the brand image through field presence and a network of prescribers (distributors, clients, influencers).

The role involves analyzing brand performance versus market data and gathering market intelligence.

This is a home office position, based in Munich, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt am Main, or Hamburg, depending on the candidate's location and agreement.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
  • 5-10 years’ experience in the wines and spirits industry, with distributor and sales force management preferred.
  • Proven track record in W&S, sales, marketing, and education, with excellent communication skills, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Strong analytical and synthesis skills.
  • Creativity, pragmatism, and critical thinking.
  • Fluency in German and English; French is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel within the business area.
