A leading healthcare company is seeking an Area Clinical Sales Manager to promote innovative respiratory technologies. This role involves educating clinicians, driving sales, and maximizing product utilization in hospitals. The ideal candidate will have a clinical background, strong communication skills, and a passion for patient care. This full-time position requires 50-65% travel within Germany, focusing on building relationships and providing exceptional support to healthcare professionals.
At Vapotherm, patients and the clinicians that treat them are our total focus. The Area Clinical Sales Manager (ACSM) is primarily responsible for leading the equipment validation process for prospective customers and supporting the expansion of Vapotherm technology use across various care areas in existing customer facilities through education and training.
The ACSM will lead validation processes within prospective accounts in acute care hospitals (NICU, PICU, AICU, ED) and post-acute care hospitals and institutions where Vapotherm may be utilized in respiratory care. They are also responsible for clinical promotion and education on Vapotherm products and therapies to clinicians in existing and prospective accounts, supporting sales funnel development and revenue growth in their territory. The ACSM supports the expansion of Vapotherm technology in existing accounts and provides education on the correct application of Vapotherm products through clinical education, training, and expertise, maximizing product sales and utilization across care areas. They will collaborate with healthcare providers in both acute and post-acute care settings.
This field-based position aims to maximize product adoption, build sustainable relationships with customers, and ensure superior customer education and support. Reporting to the Country Manager within the Commercial organization, the ACSM works closely with sales, clinical, marketing, and other cross-functional teams to deliver on-label education to targeted customers. This entry-level clinical and sales hybrid role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment to plan and achieve business goals.
Demonstrated attributes include a passion for patient care, interest in medical therapies and technology, high sales aptitude, team orientation, excellent time management, hands-on ability, cultural sensitivity, open-mindedness, flexibility, and trust-building skills.
This is a full-time role, with approximately 70% fieldwork and nationwide travel, including support for hospital requests, product demonstrations, and device validations.
While performing this job, employees are required to sit or stand for extended periods, travel via car or airplane, operate a vehicle and computer, conduct reports and communication, and occasionally lift up to 11 kilos.
