At Vapotherm, patients and clinicians are our top priority. The Area Clinical Sales Manager (ACSM) is responsible for leading equipment validation for prospective customers and supporting the expansion of Vapotherm technology across various care areas through education and training.

The ACSM will manage validation processes in prospective accounts within acute care hospitals (NICU, PICU, AICU, ED) and post-acute care settings. The role involves clinical promotion and education on Vapotherm products, supporting sales development, and ensuring correct application of products through clinical training. The ACSM collaborates with healthcare providers across hospital settings to maximize product adoption and support customer education.

This is a field-based, entry-level hybrid position combining clinical and sales responsibilities. The ACSM reports to the Country Manager and works closely with sales, clinical, marketing, and other teams to deliver targeted education and support. The role requires adaptability to a fast-paced environment to meet business goals.

Primary Responsibilities:
  1. Promote Vapotherm technologies to increase awareness and demand.
  2. Lead clinical education efforts to accelerate sales and increase product utilization.
  3. Develop relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  4. Achieve growth targets and develop tailored quarterly sales plans.
  5. Complete validation documentation and provide clinical training, including formal in-service support.
  6. Handle validation, training, sales processes, technical support, and device installation.
  7. Implement strategies to increase account revenue and profitability.
  8. Support customers with equipment operation, troubleshooting, and clinical best practices.
  9. Maintain relationships with key opinion leaders and partners for support and feedback.
  10. Expand current business following strategic guidelines and metrics.
  11. Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and clinical literature; report activities via CRM.
  12. Provide feedback for product improvements and share best practices.
  13. Participate in clinical and business education, conferences, and meetings.
Position Requirements:
  • Preferably with a clinical background or ≥3 years in clinical education or sales within respiratory or critical care.
  • Experience in hospital environments is preferred but not essential.
  • Knowledge of respiratory therapies and demonstrated success influencing clinical product use.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel 50-65% within Germany.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and online applications.
  • Intermediate English fluency (B1/B2).
