Job Description


As a Solutions Architect on the Product Analytics Customer Solutions team, you'll be on the cutting edge of the latest Emerson/NI product analytics technology. You will engage with NI's top customers in digital transformation engagements and help architect solutions, bringing to bear Emerson/NI analytics technology to enable our customer's success.


The Product Analytics Solutions team provides customer-facing software development capability in support of enterprise software and data deployments. As an architect in this team, you will use your skills to architect and solution advanced data solutions to improve lab or manufacturing operations for our customers. This includes coordinating a development team tasked with building interface modules for data, improving domain applications, assisting with customer integrations, and publishing reference designs and architecture for integrating functionalities like analytics, software deployment automation, and machine learning applications.


In this role, your responsibilities will include:


  1. Becoming an expert user of NI's enterprise software applications including SystemLink and Optimal+
  2. Working with the sales team to assess customer needs and demonstrating how our solutions can address those needs
  3. Applying your knowledge in lab operations, test, manufacturing, yield, quality, and statistical analysis to:
  4. Architecting technical solutions that deliver significant business value using NI's analytics solutions
  5. Developing full proposals with a multi-functional team
  6. Serving as the technical lead and advisor for solution delivery

You will also:


  • Collaborate with onshore and offshore customer and internal resources as a technical lead
  • Enable customer-specific customizations requiring advanced scripting and programming
  • Assist customers in diagnosing and fixing product or process issues through data analysis and system logs
  • Document processes, technical findings, and solutions for knowledge reuse
  • Handle complex tasks involving technical and business trade-offs, mastering new skills, and managing multiple projects

Requirements for this role include:


  • BS/MS or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
  • 5+ years of technical experience in validation, testing, or manufacturing
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing, testing, and data analytics or business intelligence applications
  • Experience in customer-facing roles in applications or technical support
  • Proficiency with online tools for troubleshooting hardware and software interoperability
  • Strong programming skills in Python or similar languages
  • Familiarity with data formats like XML, XSD, CSV
  • Excellent communication skills in German and English
  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred qualifications include:


  • Additional knowledge of electronics manufacturing and data analytics in test operations
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles
